STAFF ACCOUNTANT at Auburn Community Hospital – Auburn, New York

Pay: $65,000.00 — $70,000.00 per year

Full-Time, Exempt (37.5 hours); Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for preparation of various departmental financial and statistical reports, along with other related financial information. Additionally, the Accountant is responsible for compiling data for regulatory reporting in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements by assigned deadlines. This role is also responsible for cash reconciliations and reporting, maintaining and recording operating and capital leases, recording and managing Fixed Assets, recording journal entries as necessary and partnering with various departments within the Hospital as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited College/University is highly preferred, combined with 1–3 solid progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred, but not required. Or 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in hospital or healthcare setting.
