Summary

The LPN provides care to all age groups as indicated. The professional nurse organizes, coordinates, and facilitates care for assigned patients. Implements and contributes to plan of care as developed by RN and assists in evaluating patient assessment and discharge planning.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Graduate of accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Knowledge of medication
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple demands
• Ability to work in a high stress area
• Able to successfully pass basic EKG test

Required Length and Type of Experience

2-3 years clinical experience, preferred

Required Licensure or Certification

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio
• Current BLS certification required
