About This Position
Job Overview:
Reporting to and directly supporting the Manager, Associate Billing, we are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Reconciliations Analyst to join our team. This role is critical to our ongoing initiatives to support our dental clinics by providing timely, correct and robust revenue and collection entries, and bank and accounts receivable reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a professional, example-setting, ambitious self-starter, have experience with an automated reconciliation tool (e.g. Blackline), advanced Excel and Power BI skills, and strong accounting knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Use and support an automated reconciliation tool (e.g. Blackline) for the completion of high-volume monthly bank and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Use Excel extracts to validate and troubleshoot automated Power BI reports, and generate accurate monthly revenue and collections journal entries and posting
- Collaborate with dental clinics to resolve revenue and collection reconciliation discrepancies, identify software issues, and improve system usage practices
- Support automation initiatives within the reconciliation team, improving data quality with an emphasis on continuous process improvement
- Contribute to the optimized automation of revenue and reconciliation processes
- Provide and prepare ad-hoc reports, reconciliations, adjustments, and training
Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- 2 - 3 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Experience using and supporting an automated reconciliation tool (e.g. Blackline) is an assets
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
- Proven successful experience working with a high volume of low-value reconciliation transactions, and producing detailed analyses and advice
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independentl
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively deliver against multiple deadlines and priorities, in an environment undergoing transformative chang
- Previous experience in the healthcare or dental industry is an asse
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asse
- Knowledge of MS Business Central is an asset
- Knowledge of dentist Practice Management Software systems is an asset.
