We are looking to add a Senior Floorplan Designer to our Creative Team. The Senior Floorplan Designer leads the development, modification, and maintenance of detailed facility floorplans for events and tradeshows. They are experts in spatial layouts, booth placements, and structural planning, with advanced knowledge of CAD workflows and production requirements. In addition to producing their own work, they serve as a mentor to junior team members, review work for accuracy, and collaborate with Creative Leads, Technical Leads, and Account Executives to ensure all floorplans meet technical standards and project needs.

You will report to the Director of Creative Services. Position may be done remotely. Limited travel may be required.

Salary is $70,000-80,000

What You’ll Do:

Create, revise, and finalize complex facility floorplans with a high degree of accuracy and detail.Oversee booth and structural placement, ensuring adherence to client specifications and venue requirements.Develop advanced carpet plans and cut reports, resolving complex layout challenges.Review and approve work from Designers and Junior Designers for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.Mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices and technical problem-solving.Proactively identify and resolve space planning conflicts or logistical challenges before production.Maintain and enforce departmental software standards and workflow processes.Manage workload distribution for floorplan tasks in coordination with LeadsWho You Are:

7+ years of floor plan design experience within the trade show, events, or experiential marketing industry strongly preferred. Direct industry experience working with exhibit halls, convention centers, and event layouts is highly valued.Expert proficiency in AutoCAD.Knowledge of ExpoCAD strongly preferred, particularly for large-scale convention or trade show floorplans.Demonstrated experience designing exhibit and event facility layouts, including booth configurations, aisle planning, fire lane requirements, and venue regulations.Ability to mentor and guide other designers, providing constructive feedback and technical direction.Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale show layouts under tight deadlines.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and creative teams.Technical degree or certification in drafting, structural design, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.Professional Attributes
