You will lead day-to-day operations of the rental location, ensuring every customer interaction is exceptional, every piece of equipment is rental-ready, and the operation runs efficiently, safely, and profitably.This role is highly customer-facing and sales-oriented, with a strong focus on engagement, relationship-building, and delivering a best-in-class rental experience. You will work collaboratively with field technicians and store stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and strong operational performance.Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Store-Based Role)What’s In It For You• Competitive base compensation + performance bonus • Clear path to multi-store leadership opportunities • High-growth company with expansion across Canada • Opportunity to build and shape customer experience at the store level • Training on rental systems, fleet, and operations A Day in the Life• Engage customers in-store—understand needs and recommend solutions • Drive rental transactions from inquiry to fulfillment • Ensure reserved equipment is ready, staged, and on time for pickup • Coordinate with Mobile Field Technicians on fleet readiness • Monitor fleet availability and turn equipment quickly between rentals • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental environment • Use OSR systems to manage reservations, contracts, and fleet status • Support walk-in and repeat PRO and DIY customers Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience & Sales• Deliver “over the top” customer service in every interaction • Engage, qualify, and convert customers into rental transactions • Advocate OSR’s value proposition with confidence and clarity • Build relationships with repeat customers and contractors • Resolve issues quickly and professionally Rental Operations• Ensure all equipment is rental-ready, clean, and staged • Manage reservations, pickups, and returns with precision • Turn equipment quickly to maximize utilization and revenue • Monitor fleet status and coordinate with field technicians as needed • Maintain accurate system data and transaction records Store Performance & Profitability• Drive revenue through strong customer engagement and conversion • Support pricing execution and upselling opportunities • Manage daily workflow for efficiency and throughput • Maintain high standards for store presentation and organization Safety & Compliance• Maintain a safe and clean rental environment • Ensure proper handling of equipment and customer transactions • Follow all operational and safety procedures Collaboration• Partner closely with Store associates and Mobile Field Technicians to ensure fleet uptime • Work cross-functionally with store stakeholders to deliver seamless service • Communicate effectively across teams to resolve issues and improve execution Qualifications• 2–5 years customer-facing experience (retail, rental, construction, or similar) • Basic knowledge of tools and compact equipment preferred • Strong sales orientation with customer-first mindset • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Comfortable using technology systems for transactions and operations Key Competencies• Customer obsession and service excellence • Sales and relationship-building capability • Operational discipline and attention to detail • Sense of urgency and ownership • Team collaboration and communication Success Measures• Customer satisfaction and repeat business • Rental conversion rate, revenue growth, and overall location profitability• Fleet readiness and turnaround time • Accuracy of reservations and transactions • Store cleanliness, safety, and organization Compensation (Canada Estimate)• Base Salary: CAD $60,000 – $75,000 • Bonus: Tied to store profitability, rental performance and customer experience • Growth opportunities aligned with OSR expansion This is a critical role in delivering OSR’s brand promise—exceptional customer experience, reliable equipment, and operational excellence at the store level.
