Job Description
Position: Cardiac Monitoring Technician (Evening & Overnight Shifts)
Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid Schedule)We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically skilled Cardiac Monitoring Technician to join our team for evening and overnight shifts based out of our Walnut Creek, CA location. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining onsite collaboration with remote monitoring responsibilities. You will be responsible for real-time monitoring and analysis of ECG transmissions using Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) software, playing a critical role in identifying cardiac events and supporting timely clinical decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor, review, and interpret ECG recordings and associated algorithm findings for clinical accuracy and completenessEvaluate cardiac rhythms to determine if physician notification criteria are met and document all required actionsEscalate abnormal or critical ECG findings in accordance with established physician notification protocolsPerform technical analysis of cardiac data and ensure accurate event processingMaintain a high standard of quality assurance in all analyzed and processed dataComplete all required training and remain current in ECG rhythm interpretation and evolving clinical practicesMeet all productivity and performance standards following completion of initial trainingAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate effectively with team members and support a positive, patient-focused work environmentPerform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ECG analysis or cardiac monitoring experience preferred
Certifications: CRAT and/or CCT certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
TECHNICAL & CLINICAL SKILLSStrong knowledge of ECG/EKG monitoring and rhythm interpretationExperience with Event and Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT) recordersFamiliarity with medical terminology related to cardiologyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Windows operating systems
