Position Summary:
The Departmentof Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology -Head and Neck Surgery, University of NewMexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque is looking for a full time Oral andMaxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS) to provide and oversee surgical services includingbut not limited to: oral/head and neck pathology, maxillofacial trauma andreconstruction, nasoalveolar cleft and dentofacial deformities, TMJ pathologyand reconstruction, dentoalveolar and implant surgery. This is a clinical ortenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Theposition will also carry an appointment in the Department of Dental Medicine. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team of facultyproviding the delivery of education, surgical services, clinical care andresearch.

It is ideal for outdooractivities and sports all year-round including running, hiking, biking andskiing. - Residenteducation and training
- Appointment inthe Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
- Trauma call atUNMH, a Level I trauma center
- Assist in thedevelopment of the clinical, educational and research aspects of the program.
- Play a pivotalrole in building an oral and maxillofacial residency program at the Universityof New Mexico
- Participationin cleft lip and palate Craniofacial anomalies team.

- Completion of afull-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program
- OMS BoardCertified or an active candidate for certification
- Eligibility forlicensure in New Mexico
PreferredQualifications:
- Experienceworking with dental and or medical residents
- Experience inthe practice of the full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- A demonstratedcommitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of NewMexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and globalcommunities
