Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant who can contribute to our fast-paced close process with great attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including general ledger accounting transactions, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and process improvements. The position requires close coordination, communication, and effective cross-functional relationships with other team members.
Position Responsibilities:- Prepare and record journal entries, as well as respond to general ledger inquiries as needed.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
- Manage intercompany relationships and balances. This will involve liaising with different international locations to ensure proper accounting globally.
- Ensure that all existing accounting/financial policies and procedures are consistently applied across all regions and companies in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of prepaid and accrued expenses.
- Responsible for overseeing accounting transactions for international entities, including real-time review of month-end close and review of all monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist with the development and documentation of accounting processes, policies, and controls.
- Support requests of the Companys external auditors.
- Perform other related duties (special projects and reporting analysis) as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of relevant financial accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP, and experience in a cross-functional environment preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with high attention to detail
- Be a solutions-oriented team player and possess excellent organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to questions and concepts
- Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes, including proficient in handling accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
- Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, professional judgment, and management of confidential and sensitive information.
- This position is onsite in Syracuse, NY. It is not remote or hybrid.

The US annual base salary range for this is $70,000 - $80,000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location. This role will also include a bonus plan.
