Job Overview
As a key contributor to the Mosaic team, the Pharmacy Inventory Control Technician supports the pharmacy’s inventory operations by ensuring timely and accurate ordering, receiving, and tracking of medications and supplies. This role works under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor and collaborates with pharmacy staff to maintain optimal inventory levels and compliance with regulatory standards
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining adequate on-hand quantities of medications and supplies to support daily pharmacy operations.
- Support the ordering, receiving, and processing of inventory shipments from wholesalers and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and assist in data entry into the Pharmacy Dispensing System.
- Monitor inventory for expired or soon-to-expire medications and follow established procedures for removal and documentation.
- Participate in routine cycle counts and physical inventory processes as directed by the Supervisor.
- Assist in processing returns to wholesalers for credit.
- Communicate inventory-related issues or discrepancies to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Follow established SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in inventory management.
- Licensed technician in good-standing in the state of Virginia
- At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy operations; long-term care or compliance packaging experience preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy inventory systems and basic inventory principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and pharmacy software systems.
- Daily worksite will be Mosaic facility in Sterling, Virginia
- Working hours are Monday-Friday with a full-time shift sometime between the hours of 7 am – 7 pm ET. Exact 8.5 hour shift to be confirmed at the time of hire. Some overtime will be required.
