Palestine-Senior Center Support Cook at Greater KC LINC Inc – Kansas City, Missouri

Do you enjoy working in a kitchen and helping prepare meals that bring comfort to others? The LINC Caring Community/Palestine Senior Center is looking for a Support Cook to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who wants to gain kitchen experience while serving older adults in our community.

• Assist with meal preparation by washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.

• Help the Cook with plating, serving, and kitchen operations.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment; keep work areas clean and organized.

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

• Support stocking and rotating inventory as directed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cook or Kitchen Manager.

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

• Experience in food service or kitchen work helpful, but training is available.

• Willingness to learn and follow directions.

• Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

• Valid food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain).
