Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling product components, operating manufacturing equipment, maintaining machinery, and ensuring product quality.

This position plays a critical role in driving efficiency, safety, and quality across our operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:

Production & Assembly

  • Set up and operate machinery by positioning parts, loading materials, and entering specifications
  • Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks, including fabrication and welding of fabrics
  • Safely start, operate, and shut down production equipment

Quality Control

  • Conduct inspections to ensure product functionality and appearance meet standards
  • Identify defects and ensure compliance with customer specifications

Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete minor repairs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report major issues

Process Improvement

  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to improve efficiency
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S)

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete production records, shift reports, and incident reports
  • Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and OSHA regulations

Team Collaboration

  • Train and mentor new employees
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and other teams to meet production goals
Requirements:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience

  • 2–3 years of manufacturing or production experience required
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, and assembly (especially fabric welding) strongly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Certifications (Preferred)

  • MSSC Certified Production Technician or similar industry certifications
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Work involves bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
Compensation & Schedule
  • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
  • Shift-based schedule with potential overtime as needed
  • Occasional travel may be required
