About This Position
Summary:
Assists the Learning & Development Department with clerical work, administrative work, and business detail by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Learning & Development Specialist
- Assist as a backup for CSR Training and trains new CSRs in their primary CSR duties.
- Conducts New Hire Orientation for all new employees on basic system functions and navigation.
- Works with Banking Office Administration to update the centralized CSR Training Manual and Program.
- Assist/serves as backup for Deposit Account Platform training for all new and existing employees.
- Regularly reviews Deposit Account Platform training and operations manuals, including policies and procedures; recommends enhancements and appropriate changes.
- Works with Employee Development Officer, Deposit Operations Officer, VP/Banking Office Administration to make updates and changes to Deposit Account Platform training manual(s) and program.
- Assist Employee Development Officer with creating all applicable Deposit Account Platform training manuals utilized during training.
- Communicates approved changes in Deposit Account Platform training and operational policies and procedures to applicable users.
- Works directly with Manager(s) to provide clear communication and a positive leadership style to Office Managers and Universal Bankers.
- Communicates regularly with Manager(s) on training, including work schedule
- Assist/serves as backup for Consumer Lending Platform training on systems and insurances for all new and existing employees.
- Assist Employee Development Officer with Regularly reviewing Consumer Lending Platform training and operations manuals, including policies and procedures; recommends enhancements and appropriate changes.
- Works with Employee Development Officer, Consumer Lending Team, Banking Office Administrator and VP/Consumer Loan Officer to make updates and changes to Consumer Lending Platform training manual(s) and program.
- Assist with Creating all applicable Consumer Lending Platform training manuals utilized during training.
- Communicates approved changes in Consumer Lending Platform training and operational policies and procedures to applicable users.
- Works directly with Manager(s) to provide clear communication and a positive leadership style to Consumer Lenders.
- Communicates regularly with Manager(s) on training, including work schedule and follow-up training.
- Researches and provides information materials and data for projects and special assignments.
- Assists with coordinating on-going operational communications to employees as well as the implementation of new operational procedures, programs, and products.
- Assist with the Company’s Learning Management System by functioning as an Administrator and assigns monthly training assignments along with routine follow-up. Including policy, HR Handbook and Safety and Security.
- Assist with preparing, completing, and sending surveys to employees who have attended any Professional Learning and Development Training.
- Develop Product Knowledge training at the direction of Training Officer, Office Administrator and Executive Management.
- Assists with coordinating technical resources, training materials and supplies, and assembly of training materials and manuals, as well as including presentations, handouts, files manuals and other resources and materials.
- Assist with the Community College Schedule, equipment and supply needs.
- Maintains Learning Management Calendar through BAI by scheduling all seminars, conferences, and webinars along with any other Professional Learning and Development Opportunities.
- Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
- Organizes and maintains file systems, file correspondence and other records.
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
- Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities.
- Assists and oversees writing, revising, and maintaining Company documents such as forms, policies, procedures, meetings, minutes, lists, logs, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Reviews all training requests and conducts training on various topics as needed.
- Assist with coordinating outside training and conferences.
- Coordinates offices visits to as needed, to oversee and help stay up-to-date and current on all things banking offices.
- Assist with revision of policies, procedures and forms.
- Assist with annual regulatory compliance and safety and security training assignments.
- Assist with Coordinating refresher training for CSR’s, Universal Bankers & Office Managers.
- Manages and problems solve training concerns.
- Assist with the auditing of the Learning Management System.
- Orders business cards.
- Assist with Employee Career Pathing.
- Assist and/or oversee special projects.

Education, Training and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
