About This Position
Altitude Access Solutions Inc., the new operator of the Syracuse Hancock International Airport parking operation, is growing and seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team. As our operations expand, we have multiple new positions available. We are looking for an Assistant Facility Manager who takes pride in their work, values excellent customer service, and enjoys contributing to a positive, reliable, and safety-focused environment.
The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the parking operations at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR). Under the direction of the Facility Manager, this position helps to ensure efficient, safe, and customer-focused operations across all parking facilities and shuttle services. The Assistant Facility Manager maintains professional standards, assists with staff supervision, and is capable of assuming operational leadership in the Facility Manager’s absence.
Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as the on-site lead in the Facility Manager’s absence, making decisions to maintain service levels and operational continuity
- Support daily operational oversight across all parking facilities, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations
- Participate in initiatives designed to enhance customer satisfaction and overall service quality. Assist in achieving operational objectives and supporting financial goals of the parking program
- Support safety and risk management, documenting incidents, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and escalating issues as needed
- Hold maintenance staff accountable for cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards throughout parking facilities, garage, stairwells, and shuttle areas, and coordinate corrective actions when deficiencies are identified
- Executes additional responsibilities as assigned to support operational continuity and organizational objectives
- May be required to fill in for other employees, as needed
- Maintenance & Facility Oversight
- Actively oversee daily maintenance operations across all parking facilities to ensure safety and full functionality
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, snow and ice conditions, cleanliness, outages, equipment malfunctions, etc.
- Direct maintenance staff work priorities, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as assigned
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities completed repairs, and any outstanding issues
- Escalate recurring maintenance problems, repairs, safety concerns to Facility Manager with recommended solutions
- Assist in managing daily operations across all parking facilities, including:
- Respond to on-site customer inquiries and escalations in a timely manner, providing solutions and maintaining a positive customer experience
- Proactively monitor and inspect facility conditions daily, including cleanliness, lighting, signage, stairwells, parking areas, shuttle zones, equipment functionality, and drive timely maintenance actions to maintain safety and operational standards. Support and supervise the daily operation of the parking access and revenue control system (PARCS), including troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating break/fix activities, and ensuring consumables are replenished.
- Assist with the processing of customer refunds and adjustments, ensuring accuracy, documentation compliance, and timely completion under established policies
- Troubleshoot parking system issues (gates, payment terminals, etc.), coordinating with IT and vendors to resolve problems quickly
- Supervising completion of daily reports
- Create and maintain the department schedule in collaboration with shift supervisors, including coverage planning, real-time adjustments for call-outs or operational needs. Oversee timecard reviews and ensure payroll accuracy.
- Assist the Facility Manager in the hiring, training, and onboarding of frontline staff
- Reviewing and document damage claims; coordinate required documentation and submissions in accordance with established procedures. Provide courteous assistance to customers by addressing questions and concerns promptly.
Due to weather events and operational emergencies, employees may be required to work extended hours or mandatory overtime to maintain safe operations.

- Thorough knowledge of all areas of the parking lots and parking garage throughout the airport campus
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking regularly.
- May be required on occasion to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- May be required to occasionally lift and move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions to inspect parking areas, equipment, and shuttle operations.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of parking, transportation, or related operational experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Special Requirements:
- Valid NYS driver’s license for the class of vehicle being driven and acceptable DMV record.
- Subject to drug-testing per company policy
- Ability to work second and/or third shift, as well as weekends and holidays.
- Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with company and Airport standards.
- Possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain and maintain one as a condition of employment.
- Must successfully complete E- Verify I9 process. We will provide E-Verify and the federal government with your I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
