Registered Nurse - Pediatric Recovery Care Center at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

6:00AM-6:30PM, 5:30AM-6:00PM, 5:30AM-6:30PM with rotation of holidays & other shifts as needed
(This position works on the Pediatric RCC and floats to the Adult RCC when there are no pediatric cases scheduled)

The Pediatric Recovery Care Center provides same day admissions for scheduled surgery or other invasive procedures for patients that require less than a 24 hour hospital stay.

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing degree program
• Must have a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years recent pediatric RN experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

* For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• PALS certified at time of hire, or obtained within six months of hire

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.
