We currently have a career opportunity for a Full-time Personal Banker to join our team at our Jefferson location.
SUMMARY
The Personal Banker plays a key role in building strong, mutually beneficial relationships between customers and PremierBank by providing exceptional service in an accurate, efficient, and friendly manner. With a customer-first mindset, this individual helps clients make informed financial decisions by answering questions, resolving concerns, cross-selling products and services, and referring to other experts within the Bank as appropriate. The Personal Banker actively seeks opportunities to deepen relationships through education and personalized guidance, always keeping the customer experience as the top priority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Opens and closes accounts in accordance with established procedures and compliance standards in an accurate and timely manner
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to account features, setup, and maintenance, including but not limited to payments, stop payments, and wire transfers.
- Support customers with Digital Banking tools in accordance with bank procedures.
- Completes and submits thorough and accurate documentation in a timely manner
- Perform Teller functions and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently as needed
- Actively engage with customers in person and over the phone to identify and address their financial needs by maintaining expert knowledge of the Bank’s products and services while staying aware of competitors’ offerings
- Builds and maintains long-term customer relationships through proactive outreach, consistent follow up, and by offering personalized, value-added financial solutions
- Maintain awareness of fraud trends, ask appropriate questions to help protect customers and the bank from fraud loss, and accurately complete required fraud documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping both prospective and existing customers
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
- Assist the Branch Manager with ongoing training and development of Teller Staff
- Maintains the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and respect at all times.

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of previous customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in the banking industry preferred but not required. Ability to complete and maintain all required training in accordance with organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Bilingual skills in Spanish a plus.
- Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Ability to gather and analyze information.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs.
- Occasional driving may be required to float between branches where coverage is needed and for training purposes.
- Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
