Spotter Tractor Dr/Loader at Farmers Home Furniture – Dublin, Georgia

The purpose of this classification is to perform the shipping and receiving activities for the Company Distribution Department. The person in this position is responsible for operating light and heavy equipment, such as the spotting tractor, in order to fulfill assigned job duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Operates spotting tractor to move trailers around on the Company warehouse lot.
• Loads/unloads merchandise to/from trailers.
• Maintains the work area in a safe and orderly manner by performing various maintenance duties such as picking up trash, sweeping, dusting, etc.
• Operates light and heavy equipment and tools such as forklift, tow motor, tugger, pallet jack, squeeze press, etc. to complete essential job functions.
• Performs light maintenance on department equipment as needed.
• Performs cycle count inventory.

• Substitutes for co-workers in temporary absence of same.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required plus appropriate required certification; six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment; or any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
