The Position: We are looking for an HR Generalist to join the team!

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of broad generalist expertise
  • Experience supporting multiple locations within the United States

Overview

This position will focus on day-to-day employment matters, to include employee relations, workers compensation, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact within each of these areas and will become an expert on company policies and processes.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will develop and follow processes and work within their expertise to either provide guidance and solutions or elevate issues upward within the HR Team.

Results will be measured by achievement of workplace awards, high employee engagement survey scores, and outstanding retention rates.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with other members of the HR team to ensure our activities support the organization’s mission, vision, and values
  • Assists in the development and delivery of comprehensive HR policies, practices, and programs
  • Manages and resolves employee relations matters by working with the entire leadership team
  • Responsible for all aspects of workers compensation – to include initial accident reporting, claims processing, and leave management
  • Manages the Leave of Absence program
  • Facilitates annual employee review process
  • Gathers metrics and other monthly dashboard data for reporting
  • Works closely with a high performing, accountable HR team
  • Builds partnerships with and advises, coaches, and counsels management on day-to-day issues and employee concerns
  • Uses data and metrics to drive analysis and decisions
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements

  • Experience with HRIS – preferably UKG Pro
  • Knowledge of all HR functions, metrics, best HR practices and technology, and compliance requirements
