Crouse Health is hiring a Production Specialist.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.37 / hour
Production Specialist Position Responsibilities:
- Professionally prepare projects for printing, document scanning and enhancement using a variety of equipment and computer software.
- Set up quality controls for work accuracy and professional document appearance.
- Consistently run test copies prior to conducting large batch printing.
- Offer quality reproduction of customer materials and ensure professional binding, hole punching and stapling.
- Independently prioritize and schedule individual jobs and identify equipment to be used on size and complexity.
- Creatively collaborate with customer to envision, design and create forms and documents not currently in our inventory.
- Competently source and print existing documents and forms from our internal web-based library, as requested.
- Receives, sorts and distributes all classifications of mail across the hospital and off-site locations in a timely and organized manner.
- Properly package, label and ship outgoing mail and verifies that all related paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Confidently utilizes computerized reports to re-address patient mail and ship patients’ belongings in a safe and timely manner.
- Provides the highest level of customer service and communicates in a courteous and appropriate manner to co-workers, visitors and patients.
- Consistently maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information and documents.
- Accurately maintains records of jobs produced by the copy center using the department database.
- Routinely performs equipment updates and maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency. Proactively identifies and resolves any malfunctions and notifies service technicians for relevant repairs and/or service.
- Competently troubleshoots equipment failure to ensure a timely resolution.
- Routinely checks inventory levels and ensures consistent availability of required departmental supplies.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Production Specialist Position Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License.
- One (1) year work experience in business, copy production and software use required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a fast paced office setting.
- Previous experience with graphics design, Internet, Lawson, SmartMailer and Acrobat Reader.
- Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
