Project Engineer – Industrial Engineering Consulting

HTI is searching for a Project Engineer for an engineering consulting firm that supports industrial facilities with design, engineering, and construction documentation for both new projects and facility upgrades.

The team includes mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, and electrical engineers who work closely together to deliver practical engineering solutions for industrial clients.

This role is remote within the Southeast and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects while growing your technical and project experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• 6–10 years of engineering experience

• Experience working on industrial or process-related projects

• Ability to collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Willingness to travel 15–30% for client meetings and site visits

• PE license preferred or ability to obtain

Support Project Execution

• Assist Project Managers with engineering projects from concept through design and construction documentation

• Help coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines

Engineering & Design Support

• Work with process, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers to solve technical challenges

• Participate in design reviews and project planning

Client & Team Coordination

• Support project meetings, updates, and communication with clients

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed

Problem Solving

• Help identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle

• Support project schedules, deliverables, and documentation
