Job Description
The Northampton Parks & Recreation Department is seeking pool and beach lifeguards!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to swim. Personable demeanor.
MISC. INFORMATION:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lifeguards are certified in Red Cross Lifesaving and CPR and monitor swimming areas to protect life and promote a safe environment.
Assist in pool opening and closing; safe equipment use and cleanup; if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:Required: A current Lifeguard Certification with CPR/AED and First Aid.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to swim. Personable demeanor.
MISC. INFORMATION:
· The Aquatic & Family Center is located at the JFK Middle School
· Musante Beach is located at 85 Reservoir Road in Leeds, MA
Hourly Pay Rate: $17.10
Intermittent Part-time hours
Up to 20 hours per week
May through labor Day 2026
There are no benefits with this position.
