- Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in commercial buildings.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to map out system layouts and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and tests of electrical systems and components to ensure peak performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of systems.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other trades to keep jobs on schedule and within budget, fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict safety standards and comply with all regulations and site requirements, conducting safety audits and addressing potential hazards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients on job sites, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.
- Experience with commercial build-outs, renovations, and service contracts.
- Proficiency in using project management and scheduling software.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and other trades.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
