Job Description

Job Duties

  • Assist Sous Chef’s with day to day operations of the kitchen
  • Participate in the preparation, cooking and servicing of all food items for a la carte and/or banquet menus according to the recipes and standards
  • Prepare and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
  • Ensure menu items are executed at the highest quality possible at all times, exceeding guests’ expectations
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good sanitation.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations put forth by the Leadership Team
  • Works well with others, demonstrates good team spirit with an open mind
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ culinary experience (required)
  • Safe Food Handling Certification or willingness to obtain (required)
  • First Aid Course Completion or willingness to obtain (preferred)

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to make daily commute
  • Criminal background check required
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to remain standing throughout shift with frequent heavy lifting
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast pace environment
