Description:

Iowa Care Community is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Program Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Public Health or related medical programs to gain valuable experience in quality assurance and program support within a dynamic home health and hospice healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance programs

- Collect, analyze, and report data related to program performance and compliance

- Support the preparation of documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and workshops related to quality initiatives

- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement

- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Public Health, Medical, or related health sciences program or Bachelor's degree in health science major
  • 3 years' administrative experience, records management experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare clear reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in healthcare or quality assurance is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and the ability to efficiently learn software applications, efficiently and accurately complete all documentation in electronic medical records systems, and efficiently and effectively use Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook. Must be able to perform computer tasks most of the day.
  • Access to a car, have a current driver’s license, or have arranged other transportation that is readily available.
  • All offers of employment are conditioned upon the result of a criminal background check conducted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, as required by law, and a negative finding on the Office of Inspector General’s Excluded Provider List.
