Position Summary:
Capable of troubleshooting basic electrical or mechanical problems, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining existing printing machines with minimal to no assistance. Installs both new and existing printing equipment with minimal assistance. Conduct scheduled, preventative maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Observe and listen to operating printing equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairsDismantle, rebuild, and reassemble printers using hand and power toolsSet up and troubleshoot printersPerform preventative maintenance on printersKeep an accurate inventory of printer parts needed for repairsSchedule service calls
Knowledge:
Maintains a strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processesKnows how to safely operate all the basic power tools Knowledge of applicable safety, health, and environmental requirements for performing the jobStrong working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manualsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and work experienceOne year of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent experience in a maintenance group
