Job Responsibilities:

A Traffic Control Technician (TCT) is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic control devices to ensure the safe movement of motorists, pedestrians, and workers in construction or roadway work zones throughout Texas. Duties include placing cones, barricades, signs, arrow boards, and lane closure devices in accordance with approved traffic control plans and Texas MUTCD standards. Technicians monitor traffic flow, adjust work zone setups as needed, and communicate with crews, supervisors, and law enforcement to maintain a safe work environment. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Prior traffic control experience and valid TCT certification are preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

- MUST have a VALID Driver's License
- MUST have experience in driving a truck with mounted attenuator
- Candidates must possess good knowledge of state and local roadways and have experience with operating large vehicles of varying sizes
- Must be able to pass a drug test, background, and MVR check
