Summary/Objective: This position will be focused but not limited to the administrative ownership of Stamping machine PMs for maintenance related to all primary and peripheral equipment and machines used in the stamping work center.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6a-2:30pm
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Primary ASC owner of the stamping machine PM scheduling and tracking.
- Schedule and perform PMs on stamping presses and all peripheral equipment.
- This person should have a background in basic electrical diagnostics.
- Establish contact with machine manufacturers to provide resources for efficient repairs.
- Learn the basic set-up and operation of the vision system to help filter requests to the vision group for system failures.
- It is expected that this position will initiate and own continued improvement projects for machine performance as well as line optimizations.
- Point of contact for equipment manufacturers and service reps.
- Responsible for performing and or coordinating repairs for unscheduled breakdowns of equipment.
- Keep organized file history on each asset for historical maintenance records.
- As a general focus, this position would be a R.O.C.K. Champion for the stamping area.
- Forklift operation is a requirement.
- Although this position will not be directly involved in die repair, the expectation is that this individual could assist in basic die set-ups and lace-ups of material from time to time.
*The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
Required Experience:
- 2+ Years Experience in a manufacturing technical support position.
- Forklift operator
- Must have experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Experience following mechanical and electrical schematics and prints.
- Must be a self-starter that can prioritize daily activities without immediate direction.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers
- Comfortable with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
Preferred Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Journeyman Toolmaker a plus.
- Energized Electrical Work Permit is a plus.
