Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Department & Department Number: Housekeeping

Directly Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• At the beginning of the day, checking on all the housekeepers to see if they have any questions/needs

• Prepare all units that are marked as “arrivals” for the day and make them “arrival ready” for guests

• Immediate reporting of any life safety issues

• Creating the daily schedule with assignments for the housekeepers

• Handling all housekeeping-related charges on a daily basis

• Weekly inspection and walk-through of all rental units, noting anything that causes cognitive dissonance. This includes creating work orders for all engineering items that need attention and addressing all deep cleaning needs. Each week, the items that were noted from the week before need to be addressed, and if it is noted a third time, the item escalates. • Periodic, regular quality checks of public areas

• Assistance with any member requests

• Assistance with daily projects

• Assistance with a monthly linen inventory

• Assistance in communicating with, and managing the housekeepers

• Holding the housekeepers accountable. This includes coaching and counseling

• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience strongly preferred

• Currently overseeing a team of 10-15 housekeepers, with plans for team expansion soon

• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods

• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty

• Positive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-quality environment for residents and guests

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
