Insurance Follow Up Supervisor at Parkview Health – Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary

Supervises and directs all activities of Federal (governmental) VA, State sponsored (governmental) ACA, HMO/PPO, Worker’s Comp, non-contracted plan follow-up, denial resolution and mitigation. As requested, supervises all activities of the Patient Accounting Department as it relates to the above areas in the absence of the Director of Patient Accounting or Patient Accounting Manager. Responsible for expert knowledge of the following Patient Accounting positions: collections, denial resolution and mitigation for all payers previously listed. Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to all state and federal compliance guidelines.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED.

Licensure/Certification

Experience

Five years’ experience in a hospital Patient Accounting department required. Two years’ leadership experience preferred. Experience with EPIC and Premis/Relay preferred.
