Job Title: Mental Health Clinician
Location: Nacogdoches, TX
Employer: Burke's Nacogdoches Mental Health Clinic
Burke is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to provide direct rehabilitative services to individuals with chronic mental illness in both office and community/home settings. This role supports clients across Nacogdoches, San Augustine, and Shelby Counties and plays a key part in delivering high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services.
What You'll Do- Provide direct care rehabilitative services in office and community settings
- Deliver services based on individualized rehabilitation plans
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid and agency standards
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Travel within the service area to meet client needs
- Collaborate with clinical team members under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator
- Support individuals with chronic mental illness in achieving treatment goals
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Human Development, or related Human Services field meeting QMHP requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel within the service area
- Ability to complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training
- Insurable driving record
Preferred:
- 6+ months of direct care experience in behavioral health or educational settings
- Knowledge of growth and development
- Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnostic criteria
- LBSW certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational abilities
- Flexibility and self-discipline
- Documentation accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Occasional after-hours work may be required
- Salary: $42,120 - $43,555 annually (based on qualifications and experience)
- Travel reimbursement provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing, walking, and driving
- Manual dexterity, vision, hearing, and communication abilities
