Job Description

Description:

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing customer relationships throughout the Nashville and Chattanooga territory. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, executing territory sales strategies, and supporting the overall profitability and success of branch operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and margin goals.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through regular customer visits and business development activities.
  • Utilize CRM systems and sales reports to manage pipelines, track performance, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, distributors, and customers.
  • Review sales analysis, retention reports, and customer activity to support account growth and retention.
  • Communicate customer concerns, product feedback, and quality issues to internal teams.
  • Assist with inventory forecasting, large project planning, and special order coordination.
  • Promote company products, pricing strategies, and sales initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry opportunities.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and operations teams to support customer satisfaction and operational success.
  • Travel extensively throughout the territory to support business growth and customer relationships.
Requirements:
  • Previous outside sales, territory management, account management, or business development experience required.
  • Strong CRM experience and pipeline management skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, develop new business, and achieve sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large sales territory.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Experience in building materials, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or related industries preferred.
