Information Security Analyst (Mid) in Washington, District of Columbia at Professional Solutions

Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an Information Security Analyst (Mid) to join our team of professionals in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Engineering and Logistics Directorate (SEA 05).

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Analyze complex data sets, intelligence databases, and open-source information to develop security assessments, reports, and decision support products for SEA 05 leadership and operational units.
• Collect, validate, and interpret information from multiple classified and unclassified sources to identify security trends, vulnerabilities, risks, and operational impacts affecting Navy mission support.
• Conduct research and produce analytical reports, intelligence products, and recommendations supporting information systems security, compliance efforts, and operational decision-making.
• Develop concise written findings, executive summaries, and briefing materials for senior leadership, program managers, and technical stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Support information assurance reviews, security documentation analysis, and program evaluations to ensure compliance with applicable DoD, DON, NAVSEA, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, subject matter experts, IT personnel, and security teams to support investigations, vulnerability reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats, current events, policy changes, and evolving DoD/Navy security requirements impacting SEA 05 operations.
• Assist with preparation of executive reports, audit support documentation, compliance summaries, and recommendations related to cybersecurity posture and operational security concerns.
• Support system security issue resolution by coordinating findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions with internal stakeholders and supporting technical teams.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

Education

• Applicants must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of relevant experience in information systems security support or a related functional area; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of relevant experience in information systems security support or a related functional area; OR
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Experience

• Ability to leverage data analysis techniques, intelligence databases, and open-source information to develop assessments, reports, and briefings for senior leadership and operational units.
• Experience collecting,validating, and analyzing complex data sets.
• Experience conducting research and producing intelligence productsonareas of interest.
• Experience developing and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience collaborating with other analysts and subject matter experts.
• Ability to maintain awareness of current events and emerging trends impacting the Navy.
