Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Position Summary:
The Allergy Lab Assistant (Vial Production) is responsible for preparing customized allergy immunotherapy vials that support patient treatment plans across Family Allergy & Asthma clinics. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to established safety and quality standards. The Allergy Lab Assistant works closely with the Immunology team to prepare and distribute allergy treatment vials, maintain inventory and documentation, assist with shipping and order fulfillment, and support daily department operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work that directly impacts patient care and clinical outcomes. Training is provided for candidates who demonstrate strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare allergy immunotherapy vials according to established safety and quality standards
- Assist with preparing treatment vials for new and existing patients
- Process and fulfill vial orders for clinic locations and patient shipments
- Monitor and document quality-control measures, including temperature logs and inventory checks
- Assist with shipping and distribution of allergy treatment vials
- Communicate with patients, providers, and internal team members regarding orders and treatment questions
- Verify patient account information related to new and existing orders
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow HIPAA requirements
- Support daily operations within the Immunology department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Abilities, Knowledge and Skills:
Effective communication skills to include:
- Ability to fluently speak and read English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, policies, patient care plans and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with all levels of staff and patients
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical office, laboratory, pharmacy, healthcare operations, or production environment
Preferred:
- Medical Assistant certification
- Experience in a medical office, laboratory, pharmacy, healthcare operations, manufacturing, or production environment
