Position Title: Part-time Instructor of French

Position Type: One-year assignment to teach two courses per semester beginning Fall 2026.

The Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures at Augustana University (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) invites applications for a one-year, part-time sabbatical-leave replacement in French beginning Fall 2026. We seek a generalist able to teach French at the intermediate and advanced levels.

Responsibilities

Teach two courses per semester.

Required qualifications

M.A. French or French Studies required, Ph.D. preferred. Commitment to and demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching; experience in technology-aided instruction; and a commitment to the mission of a private, upper Midwest, liberal arts, church-related college are required.
