About This Position
CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. Provides full-day, full-year early childhood development services to low income children, ages 0-3 years, and their families in educationally-stimulating learning environments.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Child Development Program Services Coordinator is responsible for guiding and managing key leads who oversee core program areas for CPLC’s Early Childhood Development by implementing a systematic and integrated approach that supports high-quality child development and wellness services. Works closely with other Content Area Coordinators and Specialists, Managers, and Site Staff to support children and families while meeting federal, state and local regulations that include the Head Start Program Performance Standards. Promotes school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success as it relates to this position. Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments.
Maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the school bus, outdoor and indoor environments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background
1. Minimum education qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in human services or education
- 5 years of experience in an early childhood education environment
- 2 years of management and supervision experience.
2. Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Experience working with low-income and culturally diverse children, families and communities.
- Must demonstrate experience in early childhood education programs and services, community-based collaboration, partnership development, and cross system service planning and development.
- Strong knowledge of financial and budget management.
- Strong capacity building, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Effective leadership, management/supervision and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer, software (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Adobe) and web-based systems ability.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of early childhood development and/or HSPPS and Head Start Act.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
