Job Location: This job opportunity announcement is to fill multiple positions at the various district locations across the state.

The administrative intern (safety) provides entry-level professional support for safety programs and processes. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinates the department's safety and occupational health programs.
- Identifies and assesses risks, exposures, and hazards through development and management of control strategies for department operations.
- Measures, evaluates, audits, and continually improves the effectiveness of hazard controls and control programs.
- Conducts safety training, performs ergonomic assessments, and organizes industrial hygiene testing; may coordinate workplace security programs, including training.
- Investigates workplace incidents involving department employees to determine cause and make preventative recommendations; may assess and review workplace locations for security risks.
