Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is the problem-solver behind the scenes — the person who ensures everything in the building works as it should, so the guest never has to think twice. At Verus Hospitality, our maintenance team doesn’t just fix things — they prevent problems before they start, keeping our property running safely and smoothly. This role combines hands-on skills, accountability, and a team-first mindset to create a reliable, efficient, and welcoming hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
• Troubleshoot and fix plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance according to hotel schedules.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts.
• Ensure the property is safe, clean, and in good working condition.
• Respond to work orders promptly and with a guest-first mindset.
• Support energy efficiency and property sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of general maintenance or trade experience; hotel maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work with minimal supervision.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working in varied conditions.
• Willing to be on-call and work weekends or holidays as needed.
