Security Guard at SALSON LOGISTICS INC – NEWARK, New Jersey

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring and protecting the yard, ensuring the safety of trucks, trailers, and personnel. Duties include controlling access to the facility, conducting routine patrols, checking inbound and outbound vehicles, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to security incidents. They enforce safety protocols, prevent unauthorized entry, and document any suspicious activity or security breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control: Monitor and control entry and exit points for Freight Carriers, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel.

Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse, perimeter, and yard to detect suspicious activity or security risks.

Monitor: Gate inbound / outbound monitoring.

Incident Response: Investigate security breaches, respond to alarms, and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.

Theft Prevention: Identify and report potential theft, fraud, or loss prevention concerns.

Safety Compliance: Enforce warehouse safety policies and emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation plans.

Reporting: Maintain logs of security incidents, inspections, and daily activities.

Documentation: Logging in and out all assets from the Yard Management System

Requirements:

1+ years of experience as a security guard in a warehouse or truck yard setting

1+ years of experience working with a computer on a daily basis

SORA license required
