Job Description
Position Description: We are actively seeking a certified Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team at Belvis Gotham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using state-of-the-art imaging equipment in a fast-paced, patient-centered outpatient clinic. The technologist must ensure optimal image quality while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct digital screening and diagnostic mammography procedures as ordered by the physician
Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures clearly, and answer patient questions
Position patients accurately to obtain optimal image quality while minimizing exposure
Maintain detailed documentation and image records within the PACS system
Adhere to infection control and radiologic safety protocols in compliance with NYSDOH and facility regulations
Support quality assurance processes and participate in equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
Required Certifications & Licensure:
Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in both Radiography and Mammography
Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 1 year of recent mammography experience in a clinical setting
Thorough understanding of breast anatomy, positioning techniques, and radiologic safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary outpatient environment
Strong patient care skills, especially for patients with sensitive needs or anxiety
