About This Position
Location: Remote (Monthly travel to Portland, OR)
Travel: 30–50% | Employment Type: Full-Time | Compensation: Base + Commission/Bonus
We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven National Account Manager to lead and grow our K-12 and institutional foodservice portfolio across the U.S. This role is focused on deepening partnerships with brokers, distributors, and school nutrition professionals, while aligning internal capabilities with the evolving needs of school meal programs.
This position is remote but requires monthly travel to our Portland, OR facility and regular attendance at key industry events.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive national sales growth through broker and distributor networks into the K-12 foodservice segment
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with school nutrition directors, purchasing managers, and regional broker partners
Provide leadership and support to broker teams through training, co-selling, and sales tools
Manage existing accounts and expand product portfolio through innovation, bid wins, and increased distribution
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, scheduling, procurement, R&D, and customer service to align product offerings and execution
Represent the company at national and regional School Nutrition Association (SNA) events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Track performance against sales targets; recommend and implement improvement strategies
Stay current on USDA regulations, CN labeling, commodity programs, and emerging trends in K-12 school foodservice
Develop pricing proposals, promotional strategies, and customer-specific sales programs
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in foodservice sales, with direct experience in K-12 or institutional channels
Deep knowledge of USDA commodity programs, CN labeling, bid processes, and the school nutrition environment
Proven success managing and growing business through brokers and distributor channels
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment
Willingness and availability to travel nationally (30–50%)
