About This Position

Ruvos is seeking a knowledgeable Atlassian administrator for two Jira Cloud instances. The primary functions of this Administrator are to maintain and enhance a mature service management environment. This role will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure critical functions like SLA tracking, global automations, request types, user groups, advanced workflows and permission schemes are functioning optimally. A successful candidate will be comfortable with fielding internal and external user tickets in a ITSM/IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence (ideally familiar with Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud)

  • Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite

  • Create and maintain global automations.

  • Create complex Jira workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.

  • Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve Jira/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests

  • Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community

  • Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes

  • Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for Project teams.

  • Troubleshoot issues, communicate with process owners and continue to improve support processes.

  • Provide Jira subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within Jira

  • Able to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports

  • Creating and maintaining technical and/or user facing documentation for training

  • Working with remote teams and team members

  • Working with projects and processes with multiple cross-functional teams

  • Be a trusted advisor and consultant to our customers

  • Assist with daily service desk tasks for Jira support (client support, handling tickets, etc), as needed

Required Job Skills:
  • A service mindset that is able to handle multiple internal and external user requests.

  • A strong foundational knowledge of the inner workings of jira and confluence.

  • Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels

  • familiarity with creating and troubleshooting global automations

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in JQL and developing custom filters

  • Knowledge of migrating, merging various Atlassian deployment like Jira Cloud

  • Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change

  • The ability to translate business requirements to practical solutions using critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Jira administration and configuration, with proven success in optimizing project workflows in a Jira cloud environment.

  • ITIL Certification: Indicates an understanding of ITIL frameworks, which serve as the baseline for configuring our JIRA systems. Ideal candidates will possess the ITIL Foundation certification.

  • Agile Certification: Shows familiarity with Agile principles, guiding our project management and system configuration practices. A basic certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is preferred.
