About This Position
Assist the manager in the daily functions and systems of the Patient Accounts department. Train, monitor and advice Patient Accounts team experiencing problems with systems, third parties, patients, State and Government agencies. Coordinate operation of staff in dealing with daily activities. Possesses the authority and knowledge of third party regulations to make supervisory decisions based on policies and third party regulations. Routinely updates Manager of backlogs/issues, etc. Works with Manager on review of AR, aging, cash impact issues, improvements in preventable write-offs, billing/posting problems and other issues that impact reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications: College degree preferred, high school education required. Self-motivated and highly organized. Proficient with Microsoft and Excel. Five years’ experience working in a health care field with focus on revenue cycle areas; i.e. contracting, patient accounting, medical records. Must be familiar with insurance contracts and how they impact the healthcare facilities.
