About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and driven Facilities Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on startup environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks across HCRBrands’ owned and leased properties, including both residential and commercial facilities. Success in this role requires flexibility, responsiveness, and a proactive mindset—you’ll need to be ready to travel, work off-shift hours, and respond to emergency situations 24/7 as needed.

💰 Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $24–$30/hr
  • Guaranteed 40 Hours/Week + Overtime After 8 Hours/Day
  • Company Provided Hotel + $75/Night Per Diem for Out-of-Town Work

🕐 Schedule & Travel

  • Typical Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    (With early starts, off-shift work, and overtime as needed)
  • Travel: Up to 20%
    (Most deployments are 2 nights or fewer)


🔧 What You'll Do

  • Assemble and install office and facility furniture including desks, chairs, cubicles, cabinets, and other workspace components with precision and care
  • Support and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors performing facility upgrades, maintenance, and repairs—ensuring quality control and timely completion
  • Assist with facility buildouts and renovations, including painting, framing, drywall, light electrical, and general carpentry tasks
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology team to support infrastructure upgrades such as server room organization, network cabling, security camera installation/maintenance, and access control systems
  • Conduct quarterly preventative maintenance audits across all HCRBrands properties; proactively identify issues and present action plans to leadership
  • Perform exterior maintenance, including pressure washing, window cleaning, snow/ice removal, and general upkeep of building grounds
  • Execute routine landscaping duties, including mowing, leaf removal, mulching, weeding, and plant care
  • Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes, drain line cleaning, belt replacements, and basic diagnostics and repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including motor replacements, belt changes, lubrication, and operational inspections
  • Respond promptly to facility-related trouble calls, both during business hours and as part of an emergency response rotation—handling plumbing, electrical, access, and general repair issues
  • Assist with the setup and installation of machinery/equipment such as saws, drill presses, welders, racking systems, guardrails, and shop tools
  • Supplement third-party janitorial services as needed to maintain a clean and professional environment across all facilities
  • Safely transport materials, tools, and equipment between HCRBrands facilities as needed to support operations
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and consumables
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations across residential and commercial sites
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for efficiency, safety, or facility improvement, and communicate them to leadership
  • Perform additional maintenance and operational support tasks as assigned by leadership

✅ Your Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or mixed-use environments
  • Proven experience with general carpentry, basic electrical work, and plumbing repairs
  • Familiarity with HVAC system maintenance (filter changes, minor diagnostics, drain line clearing)
  • Experience with equipment/machinery maintenance, especially in light industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Exposure to IT-related infrastructure tasks, such as cable routing, server room support, or security camera installation
  • Experience working with outside contractors and coordinating building projects or repairs
  • Previous work involving landscaping and exterior property maintenance
  • Participation in on-call rotations and ability to respond to facility emergencies
