Eagle Globe Protective Services (EGPS) is seeking highly qualified Safe School Officers (SSOs) to serve in accordance with Florida Statutes § 1006.12 and § 790.115, ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors within Florida schools.

This position offers $24 per hour during the first 90 days, increasing to $26 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period.

All applicants must possess a valid Florida Class “D” and “G” Security License and be Guardian Certified through an eligible Florida Sheriff’s Office.

Reliable transportation is required, and officers must be willing to travel 20–30 minutes to assigned school sites or where coverage is needed. (This is in the event we are not able to place you within the school closest to your home location)

The Safe School Officer’s primary duty is to safeguard lives by deterring, identifying, and responding to potential threats on campus.

• Threat Response: Respond immediately to any threat to protect lives and maintain safety.
  
• Campus Patrols: Conduct daily exterior checks, monitor surroundings, and submit daily Risk Assessment Reports via the EGPS Mobile App.
  
• Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors, school administrators, and law enforcement.
  
• Professional Conduct: Follow all EGPS and school policies, including confidentiality and chain of command.
  
• Emergency Procedures: Follow protocol during medical or safety emergencies. Never abandon post without proper relief.
  
• Uniform & Equipment: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and properly secure duty gear and firearm.
  

• Valid Florida Class “D” Security License
  
• Valid Florida Class “G” Firearms License
  
• Guardian Certification through an eligible Florida Sheriff’s Office (required)
  
• High School Diploma or GED
  
• Minimum age 21 years (per firearm regulations)
  
• Must pass FDLE background screening and drug testing
  
• Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)
  
• Reliable means of transportation is mandatory
  
• Must be able to travel 20–30 minutes to assigned posts as needed
  
• Must be flexible and available for coverage in multiple school zones
  

• Starting Pay: $24/hour (first 90 days probationary period)
  
• Post-Probation Pay: $26/hour upon satisfactory performance review
  
• Uniforms and standard equipment provided by EGPS
