ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Coordination & Management
  • Assist with managing small- to medium-sized construction projects from project kickoff through completion.
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, and resources under the guidance of a Project Manager.
  • Maintain project completion tracking and provide regular status updates.
  • Support project planning efforts to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
Client Communication & Documentation
  • Prepare transmittals, project updates, requests for information (RFIs), and follow-up correspondence.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist with meeting coordination and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records, notes, and communication logs within company systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Administration & File Management
  • Maintain organized project files and document control procedures.
  • Ensure project documentation follows company standards and naming conventions.
  • Assist with onboarding and training team members on project file management processes.
  • Support project closeout activities and documentation.
Technical Project Support
  • Prepare and coordinate seismic bracing submittals and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with reviewing and responding to design team comments and project revisions.
  • Support the development of seismic restraint legends, layouts, and point load documentation.
  • Review project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Material Takeoffs & Estimating
  • Perform seismic kit takeoffs and material counts.
  • Assist with preparing project quotations and estimating material requirements.
  • Develop familiarity with ISAT products, hardware systems, and seismic restraint applications.
Field & Construction Support
  • Participate in site visits, field inspections, and project walkthroughs as needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting project issues and gathering field information.
  • Support Project Managers with construction coordination activities.
Process Improvement
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management procedures, tools, and workflows.
  • Assist with training initiatives and knowledge-sharing efforts across the team.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Accurately record daily project activities and time entries.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and communication records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years of work experience in Non-Structural Components Seismic Design.
  • 3-4 Years’ experience as a Project Engineer; the Assistant Project Manager I work under the guidance of a mentor Senior PM and PM(s).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to effectively communicate (orally, and in writing) with all levels of the organization.
