Position Summary

Garnishment Production Team Leads at RAS LaVrar act as a working lead, balancing active post-judgment processing with team leadership. Reporting directly to the Production Operations Manager, this role prepares complex garnishments, handles escalated communications, and owns the departmental onboarding and continuous technical training of the garnishment team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Production & Processing

  • Prepares, reviews, and files high-volume wage and bank garnishment documents alongside the team to meet strict collection quotas.
  • Communication Management
  • Handles high-volume email queues and fields inbound/outbound phone calls with consumers, employers, payroll providers, and opposing counsel regarding garnishment statuses and disputes.
  • Departmental Onboarding & Technical Training

  • Designs and executes the specialized training curriculum for new garnishment team hires, conducting hands-on sessions on departmental workflows, software, legal compliance, and effective communication tactics.
  • Conducts ongoing technical training and workflow updates for existing garnishment staff to adapt to changes in state laws or court procedures.
  • Workflow Oversight

  • Monitors daily queues for document drafting, inbound correspondence, and phone coverage to ensure strict court and internal deadlines are met.
  • Compliance & Quality Control

  • Audits prepared legal documents and team communications to ensure exact statutory figures, verifying balances, interest calculations, and FDCPA compliance.
  • Escalation Management

  • Directs the resolution of complex processing issues, claims of exemption, and disputed calculation errors from debtors.

  • Legal software and system navigation.
  • Dual-focus execution (Working Lead balance).
  • High accountability and integrity.
  • Educational & Experience Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred. Focus in operations management, criminal justice, pre-law, or data analysis is ideal.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume debt collection law firm or legal environment, specializing in post-judgment remedies.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to train new departmental staff, explain complex legal procedures clearly, and manage daily production workflows.
  • Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of state-specific civil procedures, FDCPA regulations, and statutory asset exemptions.
