Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for movement of manufactured goods and materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and some suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
Specific Duties:
- Move material between buildings per the schedule to provide timely pickups and deliveries to multiple departments.
- Loading and unloading of truck and moving skids of material throughout the Company.
- Driving company vehicles between buildings as needed.
- Driving company vehicles to some suppliers for deliveries and pickups as required.
- Accountable for keeping the company vehicle clean after each use.
- Replenish material move cards in each location at each dock.
- Manage and move empty pallets, skids, and baskets to recycle through for replenishment from specified locations.
- Will assist other Material Handlers with moving parts as needed.
- Will assist in Stockrooms and Shipping Docks if required.
Qualifications:
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have good Math skills.
- Must understand and apply handling class policy when pulling, stocking, and transporting materials.
- Must have good Organizational skills and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. (standing, lifting, bending)
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
- Forklift/Tow Motor experience/license is a plus.
- Clean Driver’s License is required for this position.
- Must have 20-20 vision or corrected to 20-20 with glasses
- Must be a Team Player.
- Ability to follow all safety rules.
- Reliable and Dependable (be here as required and arrive on time)
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of objects up to 45 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour based on experience
