Job Description

Engineering Manager, Enablement

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Manager, Enablement based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of engineering productivity and organizational scale, focusing on building the systems, tools, and AI-driven workflows that enable engineering teams to move faster and with greater impact. You will lead a high-leverage enablement function responsible for designing internal platforms that reduce friction across the software development lifecycle. This includes building AI-powered pairing systems, automating ticket generation, and expanding contribution pathways for both engineers and non-engineers. Acting as a force multiplier across the organization, you will partner closely with engineering leadership to directly influence velocity, quality, and delivery efficiency. The environment is highly technical, data-driven, and focused on continuous improvement, where experimentation and automation are key drivers of success. This is a foundational leadership role for someone who wants to redefine how modern engineering teams operate at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and lead a high-impact Engineering Enablement team focused on accelerating engineering velocity across the organization
  • Design and operate AI-powered engineering workflows, including AI pairing systems that enhance developer productivity
  • Develop automated ticket generation pipelines that translate product and operational signals into actionable engineering work
  • Own and scale non-engineer contribution frameworks, enabling safe and structured code contributions from cross-functional teams
  • Establish engineering standards, guardrails, and best practices for AI-assisted development and internal tooling usage
  • Build and evolve internal developer tooling and infrastructure that reduces friction across development, testing, and deployment workflows
  • Measure and analyze the impact of enablement initiatives, using data to continuously improve velocity and engineering efficiency
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership and program management to align enablement efforts with organizational goals
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal infrastructure
  • Proven experience building AI-assisted engineering systems, including LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
  • Strong background in designing and scaling automation pipelines that eliminate manual engineering effort
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle bottlenecks and engineering productivity challenges
  • Experience in technical leadership roles with cross-functional influence across engineering teams
  • Familiarity with modern AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms
  • Experience enabling safe code contributions from non-engineers is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define, track, and optimize engineering performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
  • Strong ownership mentality, comfort with ambiguity, and passion for building scalable internal systems
Benefits:
  • Salary range: $200,000 – $225,000 annually, depending on experience and location
  • Employer-paid health insurance for employees and eligible dependents
  • Profit interest units and performance-based incentive compensation
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO) policy
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Short-term disability and group life insurance coverage
  • Highly collaborative, remote-first work environment
  • Strong culture of innovation, autonomy, and engineering excellence
  • Opportunities to contribute to mission-driven educational initiatives through affiliated programs
