Customer Training Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Training Specialist based in the United States.

This role is centered on enabling healthcare customers to successfully adopt and maximize the value of a complex, data-driven platform used in clinical coding, analytics, and quality improvement. You will design and deliver engaging training experiences that help users confidently navigate workflows, interpret data, and apply best practices in their day-to-day operations. Acting as both an educator and subject matter guide, you will translate technical and clinical concepts into clear, actionable learning experiences. The position involves close collaboration with onboarding, product, and operations teams to ensure training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with platform updates. You will also play a key role in identifying learning gaps and continuously improving training programs based on customer feedback and performance insights. This is a highly interactive role where your expertise directly impacts customer success, adoption rates, and overall platform effectiveness.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and deliver live virtual and occasional in-person training sessions covering clinical coding, data retrieval, and analytics platform features.
  • Assess customer training needs based on onboarding stage, performance data, and operational requirements to tailor learning experiences.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching to support customer understanding of platform workflows, coding standards, and reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain training materials in collaboration with Learning & Development, including guides, job aids, and assessments.
  • Partner with Product and Operations teams to ensure training content reflects the latest platform functionality and updates.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and performance data to continuously improve training delivery and content.
  • Support ongoing customer learning post-onboarding to reinforce knowledge and improve long-term platform adoption.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of experience in clinical coding, healthcare operations, or a related field.
  • Active or recent coding certification such as CPC (AAPC), RHIT, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding guidelines, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Experience delivering engaging training sessions in virtual and/or in-person environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex clinical and technical topics.
  • Experience creating or supporting training materials such as guides, presentations, or learning resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with virtual training platforms (Zoom, Teams, LMS tools).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives independently.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong coaching, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing platform features and priorities.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work remotely within the United States.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge healthcare technology supporting value-based care.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
