Job Summary:

RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for the Neurosurgery department at the New Brunswick campus

Essential Functions:

• This role includes rounding, evaluation, and providing care plans as developed with attending neurosurgeons
• There are also invasive bedside procedures as a part of this role
• You must be comfortable working to the full extent of licensure
• This is a variable role with days, nights, weekends and holiday rotations required,

Education:

• Advanced Practice Nurses must be certified in Family practice due to the pediatric population seen on this service
• Physician Assistants must be a graduate from an accredited PA program

Experience:

• An ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of inpatient or acute patient care experience in neurosurgery with a desire for acute inpatient work
• Would consider the right new graduate APP
• NP candidates must be FNP certified with acute care experience due to the pediatric population on the service

• DEA required
• RN required
• RNFA certification required for NP to work in the operating room
• BLS required
• ACLS required
