The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, strong client relationships, and strategic market development. This role focuses on growing room and group business, managing key accounts, and positioning the property competitively within the market. The Assistant Director of Sales works closely with hotel leadership to achieve revenue goals while representing the property and Makeready brand with professionalism and integrity. Assist with leading, developing, and supporting the Sales Team.
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business through proactive sales calls, client meetings, and networking.
- Manage and grow key corporate, group, and local accounts.
- Identify new market opportunities to increase room and group revenue.
- Conduct hotel tours and presentations for prospective clients.
Account & Market Management
- Maintain strong relationships with top accounts and repeat clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support sales strategy.
- Implement property sales and marketing action plans.
Performance & Collaboration
- Support the hotel in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Communicate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts with hotel leadership.
- Collaborate with revenue management, marketing, and operations teams to maximize performance.
- Supervise, lead, and support the sales team.
Brand Representation
- Represent the hotel at industry and community events.
- Ensure all sales efforts align with Makeready’s brand standards and guest experience expectations.
